Rima
Actor
Hello! My name is Avery Rima. I have been acting for 15 of the 22 years I’ve been alive. I graduated with my BFA in Acting/Directing from Colorado Mesa University. Previous Credit: Perfect Wedding, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, 2024. I have experience in theatre, film, and voice acting. My background is mainly in theater, and it has given me a strong love and appreciation for showing vulnerability onstage and being able to ride the wave of emotions of a character. The Marx Brothers have always been a huge influence on me. They were my first introduction to the world of old Hollywood. The witty, fast-paced comedy style ingrained itself into my psyche for eternity and sparked my love for comedy. I try to carry that dry wit in my acting and a strong sense of comedic timing. I think of myself as a mix of Groucho Marx and Fleabag. I can speak many dialects including: British RP, Irish, Australian, Russian, and American Southern. I have trained in stage combat. I am an alto. I can also do a killer Betty Boop impression.

Resume
Bio
I spent most of my ife growing up in the snowy mountains of Colorado. I first became interested in theatre when I signed up for her school’s talent show in first grade. At the ripe age of 6, I realized I couldn’t sing for my life. So I decided to preform a one-woman show of the Spongebob Squarepants episode titled: Chocolate With Nuts. WIth that, and my love for old Marx Brothers movies, a career in acting became the dream.
I’ve continued to do theatre throughout high school and into the professional world, receiving my BFA in Acting/Directing in Spring of 2023 from Colorado Mesa University. Credits include: Rachel in Perfect Wedding at the Broadway Palm Theatre, a touring performer with Brightstar Theatre, Terry (Harry) Binion in Room Service, Becca in Rabbit Hole, and Lizzie Chapman in Miss Holmes.
